Aodhán Connolly Aodhán is an Account Director at Chambré Public Affairs LLP. With over 12 years in public affairs and public relations, Aodhán has worked extensively with government at all levels to influence decision makers.

Aodhán has an excellent track record of lobbying on issues as diverse as young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs), to environmental issues and language rights.

Aodhán joined Chambré PA after 6 years working in the charity sector as Public Affairs Manager for RSPB, Head of Commercial Development for Prince’s Trust Northern Ireland and Events and Communications Manager for Cultúrlann Mac Adam Ó Fiaich. In these roles he gained wide recognition for his work in public affairs, public relations and various successful high profile events. This charity background allows Aodhán to support our clients to direct their Corporate Social Responsibility agenda to providing the best possible benefit to both the community and the client.

Aodhán has also provided strategic communications advice for a wide range of bodies across all sectors and is considered an expert in reputation management.

Outside of his professional life, Aodhán has been heavily involved in equality matters. He is a former chairperson of the language rights group, POBAL and Cumman Gaelach Ard Mhic Nasca as well as a former board member of Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta. He is currently on the board of trustees of the Belfast Butterfly Club, Northern Ireland’s only single demographic support service provider to the transgendered community.

Aodhán is a member of the Northern Ireland Government Affairs Group, a member of Chartered Institute of Public Relations and an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Aodhán is a graduate in Modern History from Queen’s University Belfast.
